If you want your child to stay active, social, and “unplugged” this summer, Camp Hubbard is the perfect summer day camp option. Operating since 1998, this top-notch, co-ed sports camp is designed for ages 4.5 to 14. Kids have a great time making new friends while also learning a lot of new indoor and outdoor sports, games, and activities such as: basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, archery, swimming, and more. The weekly themes drive variety and creativity each week with an end-of-the-week “fun Friday” celebration.

“We are extremely excited to be back for our 23rd consecutive year of summer camp,” says Ann Marie Sunderhaus, CEO of Camp Hubbard and the Hubbard Family Swim Schools that were founded by her parents, Kathy and Bob Hubbard. “Kids, now more than ever, need all the social and physical benefits that summer camp has to offer. We can’t wait to see kids running around, playing games and sports, laughing, and making great memories. Our staff members are prepared and ready to have another amazing summer with safety protocols in place, like we did last summer.”

Sunderhaus emphasizes that health and safety is top-of-mind at Camp Hubbard. All staff members are lifeguard certified which includes first aid, CPR and AED training, and go through background checks and drug tests. Camp Hubbard prides itself on having a very passionate, enthusiastic, well-trained staff. All campers will be required to wear a face mask to camp and masks must be worn during all low-intensity activities. Children will remain in small groups with no more than 10 campers per staff member.

Camp Hubbard will operate from May 24 through August 6 at three Valley locations: St. Bernadette Parish in Scottsdale, and Griffith Elementary and Sunnyslope High School, both in Phoenix. Camp dates vary by location. There are half day and full day options available. Half day is from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the full day is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Camp is $250 a week for half-day and $315/week for full day. Siblings are $225 and $290. Single days are $80 per child. (Children must attend a full week of full day camp this summer to qualify for the single day registration.) Full day campers are required to bring their own, self-cooled lunch to camp Monday through Thursday. Every Friday is “Pizza Friday” for all full day campers. Registration includes a camper t-shirt and daily snacks. There is also extended stay childcare option every day from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
