Plus take advantage of the opportunity to win more than $25,000 in prizes

Outlets at Anthem invites shoppers from all over the valley to save, win and give at its 14th annual Shopping Extravaganza retail philanthropy event. The VIP event will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and are on sale now at participating charities, Customer Service at the Outlets and online.

The limited-admission, one-day only event gives shoppers exclusive discounts at the Outlets’ popular brands, along with free lunch, wine and chocolate tastings and live entertainment. Plus, the opportunity to win more than $25,000 in gift cards and prizes.

“Our guests look forward to Shopping Extravaganza all year long; it’s one of our most popular shopping events,” said Christina Henning, general manager and marketing director, Outlets at Anthem. “Not only do participants have a fantastic time shopping, eating and socializing, they also know they are helping worthy causes close to their hearts. Outlets at Anthem retailers do a fantastic job making sure the discounts and prizes for participants are enticing, and we’re so thankful for the community support year after year.”
From each ticket sold, $15 will be donated to one of the 18 participating non-profit organizations in the valley including the American Academy of Pediatrics-Arizona Chapter, Daisy Mountain Firefighters Charities and Homes for Heroes. Last year’s event raised more than $50,000 for well-deserving organizations and in the last 13 years, Shopping Extravaganza has raised nearly $450,000 in charitable funds.

Soroptimist International of Saguaro Foothills, a global volunteer movement dedicated to women and girls around the world, is participating in the event for the second year.

“We are always looking for unique ways to raise funds for our organization and be involved in our community,” said Carolyn Lutz, Soroptimist International of Saguaro Foothills representative. “Last year’s Shopping Extravaganza event was so much fun for our club members and guests. They got VIP treatment by Outlets at Anthem, which they loved, and they knew they were helping raise money for so many worthy organizations. Honestly, is there a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon?”

Steve Craig, president of Craig Realty, owner of Outlets at Anthem, introduced Shopping Extravaganza in 2004 to contribute to the community and support local charities. Since its inception, it has become a go-to charity shopping tradition for people throughout the valley and a great way to kick off the holiday shopping season.
