Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Chicago comes to the historic Celebrity Theatre

On Wednesday, July 6th at 7:30 p.m.

With over 21 Top 10 singles, 5 consecutive Number One albums, 11 Number One singles, fans that stretch across the globe and countless bands that have followed in their wake, Chicago’s inclusion into the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April is well-deserved. The legendary band with horns came in at #9, the highest charting American band in Billboard Magazine’s Hot 200 All-Time Top Artists. Chicago is also the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six decades. Greatest hits include “25 or 6 or 4,” “Beginnings,” “Saturday in the Park,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is,” “Make Me Smile,” “If You Leave Me” and the list goes on. Chicago’s album, Chicago Transit Authority, was inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in 2014, and the band performed on the Grammy stage for the first time that year. In 2014, a record of new studio tracks, Chicago XXXVI: Now, was released (Frontiers Records). It includes eleven brand new songs recorded on the road.

Chicago’s lifetime achievements include a Grammy Award, multiple American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and keys to an impressive list of US cities. Record sales top the 100,000,000 mark. An incredible 25 of their 36 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards. Chicago’s line-up includes original band members Robert Lamm on keyboards, vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals, James Pankow on trombone and Walt Parazaider on woodwinds, as well as Jason Scheff on bass, vocals, Tris Imboden on drums, Keith Howland on guitar and vocals, Lou Pardini on keyboards, vocals and Walfredo Reyes, Jr. on percussion.
