Things are starting to heat up in the Valley and there’s no better time to get out and about for some relaxing live music or much needed retail therapy. Since this summer promises to be busy, here’s what you need to know about the latest events and upcoming openings at Kierland Commons, the popular nearby shopping destination located at 15205 N. Kierland Boulevard.
Free People Movement Run Club on May 7
Free People Movement is promoting fitness, wellness and happiness through a new run club taking place the first Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. The 5K will start and finish at the Free People Movement store at Kierland Commons. If you miss the May 7 event, the next one takes place on June 5. RSVPs are required through the Kierland Commons website.
May Concert Series
The 2022 May Concert Series is here. Kierland Commons patrons can stop by every Friday from 5-8 p.m. throughout the month to catch the sounds of soul, country, classic rock, disco, and more. Make it a weekly date night by grabbing dinner and heading to center plaza to listen to the tunes. Lawn chairs welcome and seating is first come, first serve.
Musical Line Up
• May 6, Stanley Serrano: Singer, musician, songwriter, and producer are just a few titles that describe Stanley Serrano’s talents.
• May 13, Painted Soul: Desiree and Damon White present Painted Soul’s sensational and soulful sounds, redefining today’s band entertainment all around the Valley.
• May 20, TJ Rifkins: TJ Rifkin is a trio artist from Phoenix that has played all over the U.S., covering every genre, including Top 40, country, and classic rock.
• May 27, Ri and Ry: Ri and Ry is a local disco-funk-loving duo. The full-time musicians are a married couple that play energetic, upbeat tunes.
New Shops Coming Soon
These new shops are slated to open at Kierland Commons.
Opening This Month: United by Blue
United By Blue is working toward a more sustainable world, offering a range of clothing, accessories and other goods made in GOTS-certified factories while removing one pound of trash from the world’s oceans and waterways through company organized and hosted cleanups for every product sold. Since being founded in 2010, United by Blue has removed more than 4 million pounds of trash.
