North Valley Symphony Orchestra invites the public to attend their annual gala fundraising event, Saturday, February 10, 2018. The dinner event will be held at Moon Valley Country Club, 151 W. Moon Valley Drive, Phoenix, and includes a silent auction to contribute to operation and growth of NVSO and it’s youth programming. For many of the young musicians in the NVSO Youth Orchestra, Youth Strings and Symphonettes, this is the only way for them to progress, improve and be part of an orchestra since many school music programs are being eliminated or severely cut back.
The event will feature celebrity emcee John Hook, Fox 10 News anchor. John oined the FOX 10 News team in August of 1993, and anchors an hour of news on both “FOX 10 News at 5 pm” and “FOX 10 News at 9 pm.” John and co-anchor Kari Lake make up “Hook and Lake,” the longest running news team in the Valley, and is the author of the critically acclaimed book, “Who Killed Bob Crane?”.
Attendees will have a variety of silent auction items to consider, including round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines, a violin hand-made especially for the event by Jody Summerford, a variety of restaurant gift cards, an entertainment package by Agave String Quartet, and themed baskets.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the evening by NVSO’s principal string players, and North Valley Youth Orchestra’s Youth Octet. The Broadway-themed event begins with cocktails at 5:30, giving guests the opportunity to browse the silent auction items until dinner is served. Event tickets are $75 each and includes dinner, one entry to the evening raffle prize, and one cocktail. Reservations can be made on-line at northvalleysymphony.org/events-calendar.
Event sponsors include Bike Barn Arizona and West Coast Plumbing and Air. Several levels of sponsorship for this event are available.
