Anthem Golf and Country Club (AGCC) will continue its tradition and commitment of giving back and making an impact in the Anthem community by hosting the 2021 Charity Classic, an annual philanthropic open-house event where AGCC opens its doors to the community to invite family, friends and coworkers for a fun day of golf (boxed lunch and cart included) followed by a “par-tee” that includes two drink tickets, a four course dinner with wine pairings, and silent auction. Registration for the November 14 event is now open.

Since its inception in 2007, ClubCorp Charity Classic events have raised more than $28 million nationwide to support its charity partners’ vital work, benefiting important charities. Last year, the popular Charity Classic events hosted at ClubCorp clubs across the nation collectively raised $1.4 million for the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.) and a variety of charities throughout the U.S. via hundreds of events across the country.

With this year’s registration and details now available, Anthem Golf and Country Club encourages members of the community to sign up. Registration is now open for the four person 18-hole scramble (noon shotgun), which includes boxed lunch, cart and entrance to the “par-tee” for $700.

“Opening our club to the community for this event makes a positive impact on the lives of so many. We are so proud to once again host our Charity Classic,” says Brad Harrington, general manager at Anthem Golf and Country Club. “During our Charity Classic event, our members and employees work together with sponsors to show Anthem Golf and Country Club’s commitment to enriching lives in the communities we support.”

This year, the 2021 Charity Classic will partner with Smiles 4 Sick Children (S4SC), an Anthem-based 501c3 charitable organization, founded in 2013. Inspired by a young girl who passed away too soon, founder Brian Billideau is an Anthem resident. Through his efforts and those of the nonprofit’s donors, S4SC has grown and expanded its activities with community support. S4SC’s mission is to provide holiday and year-round toys and gifts to sick and injured kids at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH). Since 2013, they have surpassed 18,400 gifts, and are one of PCH’s largest contributor of toys.
Additionally, funds will also be raised to benefit ClubCorp’s Employee Partner Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.), a fund created to help ClubCorp’s employees and their families by providing financial assistance in times of crisis. In 2020, 672 Club and ClubCorp employees received over $1.1 million in grants to help them and their families through the many challenges of the pandemic. Since inception, the foundation has helped nearly 4,100 employees by granting over $7.5 million.
