Friday July 24, the first Pickleball Courts at a City of Phoenix facility, with permanent pickleball nets, made its debut.
Councilwoman Thelda Williams and Parks & Recreation staff was there as well as lots of anxious Pickleball players.
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US and one that is the most likely to be unheard of. Athletes from all different age groups are pulling out their pickleball paddles to play a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. A fast moving game that is helping keep a lot of people in shape!
