Have an a-MAZE-ing time this weekend at the Pumpkin Fest & Corn Maze and every weekend in October at Mortimer Farms.   The 15-acre corn maze, is custom designed to represent and benefits the Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  The story filled maze offers three points of entry into the 10’ walls of corn, based on various skill levels.

In addition to the 15-acre corn maze, the event features the farm’s 10-acre Pumpkin Patch where families wander and search for the perfect pumpkins to take home, one per person, as part of the festival’s admission fee.

This Saturday, October 17, the Mile High Tractor Club will also be displaying antique tractors and bystanders can watch as they compete for “Top Pull,” seeing which operator & antique tractor can pull the weighted sled the farthest.

Younger guests will enjoy the straw maze, plus the farm animal petting zoo, the Buckaroo Pony Corner, inflatable slides, a corn box, roping dummies, an obstacle course, Mutton’ Bustin, calf riding, a bounce house, and a barrel train ride.

On Thursday, October 31, the Pumpkin Chunkin’ competition will take place with prizes awarded for best design, most accurate and longest distance.

Festival hours are Fridays from 12–9 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Sundays from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.  Admission, which covers all rides and entertainment plus pumpkins for the entire family, is $15 per person, with kids under three free.
