The much-anticipated Food Trucks in the Sheaborhood event is returning to Oxford Square, 10880 N. 32nd St., on Thurs., Jan. 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This monthly event has become a staple in the community, known for bringing together food enthusiasts and local residents for an evening of gastronomic delight and social interaction.

This month’s event is set to feature a mix of returning favorites and new food truck additions, with the specific lineup to be announced. The variety of culinary options promises something to satisfy every palate, from classic comfort foods to unique and adventurous dishes.

To enhance the dining experience, tables and chairs will be provided, sponsored by the @Sheaborhood Instagram account and AZ Homegirls. Organizers encourage attendees to show their appreciation by giving a thanks and following those sponsors for their generous support.

Food trucks will be positioned around the edge of the parking lot, creating a spacious and comfortable area for guests to gather and enjoy their meals. Due to limited parking availability at Oxford Square, attendees are advised to consider walking if they live nearby. Alternatively, they can use the parking lots of surrounding shopping centers for convenience.

The Rosticceria Opens Its Doors

The Rosticceria, a new venture by The Maggiore Group, has opened its doors at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd., offering a unique Abruzzo-style culinary experience. Inspired by the travels of Chef Joey Maggiore and his family through Italy, the restaurant brings a taste of authentic Italian cuisine to Phoenix.

The menu features a range of wood-fired meats, including Arizona’s only authentic Neapolitan fried pizza, rotisserie chicken, and porchetta. In addition, guests can enjoy Italian staples like calzones, paninis, and arrosticini, complemented by a craft cocktail menu and a build-your-own soft serve gelato shake bar.

Designed by Cristina Maggiore, the 5,372 square-foot space boasts an eclectic mix of Roman relics and graffiti, providing indoor and outdoor seating for 226 guests. The Rosticceria offers a vibrant dining atmosphere with weekly live entertainment.

Hike and Brunch Event with Shea Cheese

Shea Cheese is hosting a hike and brunch event on Sunday, Jan. 14, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.

Participants are invited to start the day with a refreshing hike along the serene trails of the preserve. Covering a distance of 3 to 4 miles, the hike promises to be an enjoyable experience for both seasoned hikers and beginners. The trail will offer varying elevations, adding a gentle challenge to the adventure.

Following the hike, attendees will be treated to a delightful brunch catered by Biscuit Freaks. The brunch, set to begin at 10 a.m. at Shea Cheese, 10880 N. 32nd St., Suite 19, aims to offer a perfect blend of delicious food and relaxation after the morning’s exertions.

This event is an excellent opportunity for community members to engage in outdoor activities and socialize. The hike will commence at the Dreamy Draw Trailhead at 8 a.m., promising a morning filled with exploration and natural beauty.
