PUSD Students Earn Private Pilot’s License

Congratulations to Cactus High School Air Force Junior ROTC cadets Brayton Pelke and Nathan Kajornkittipoom on graduating AFJROTC Flight Academy. The duo, both Peoria Unified School District students, earned their private pilot’s license from Delta State University in Mississippi.
Centennial Graduate Invites Renowned Artist to Paint Mural at School

Cori Borgstadt, a life-long Girl Scout and Centennial High School graduate, as part of her final project for her Girl Scout Gold Award, invited renowned artist Alex Cook to paint one of his popular “You Are Loved” murals at Centennial in Peoria.
Cook has created over 180 murals throughout the United States and Internationally, including over 70 “You Are Loved” murals. He says the idea is to touch the heart and put a smile on someone’s face.
