Hidden in a quiet north Scottsdale neighborhood, the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is a must visit for locals looking for an extraordinary dining experience complete with stunning views and sumptuous interiors.

The resort has fantastic dining options that are great for tourists and locals alike. Perfect for a romantic date night, dinner with friends or family, or cocktails, the property offers distinct dining options to impress even the most traveled foodie in your circle.

Talavera is a Spanish steakhouse featuring elevated dishes to entice the taste buds. The chef focuses on traditional Latin ingredients to create nuanced meals including dry-aged steak, Jamon Iberico, paella (one of Talavera’s specialties), fresh seafood, and more. Befitting a restaurant influenced by Spanish cuisine, an extensive list of tapas are featured––octopus, lobster tostadas, beet salad, pan con tomate, to name but a few.

Some of the dishes come with a side but for an authentic Spanish-type, family-style dining experience, shared side dishes are an intriguing option. Select from patatas bravas, grilled asparagus, roasted squash, and mashed potatoes.

Leave room for dessert, as Talavera’s pastry chef whips up incredible creations. Basque cake with poached pears, pomegranate wine gastrique, and cardamon cream; cinnamon churros with a chocolate dipping sauce; mocha chocoflan with cajeta caramel, orange scented cream, and espresso candied cocoa nibs; and a selection of sorbets, all offer an irresistible allure to justify indulgence in a sweet treat.

Start your Talavera experience with a pre-dinner, hand crafted cocktail served up by the creative bartending crew a few steps away at the Onyx Bar & Lounge. The Southwest Sangria, Troon Margarita, or the build-your-own Gin & Tonic are among the bar’s most popular. Follow this up with a glass of wine, or a bottle from Talavera’s cellar, which features an impressive selection of new and Old-World vintages.

Talavera is open Thursday to Sunday and Onyx is open daily at 5 p.m.

For a taste of the Southwest, check out the resort’s more casual dining option, Proof, an American Canteen. Proof’s menu is filled with classic comfort food and is a cozy spot to enjoy a meal with the family. Proof offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is situated to take advantage of the expansive views of the Valley below.

Breakfast options include avocado toast, omelets, short rib skillet, lox n’ bagel, pancakes, a fresh fruit bowl, yogurt parfaits, and more. For lunch, enjoy a variety of starters, salads, handhelds such as burgers and sandwiches, and main entrée options such as salmon and pasta.

The dinner menu delights guests with several starter options including hummus, tulip wings, chips & dip, pretzel bites, and more. Salad options, sandwiches, burgers, and Proof’s famous lobster roll, all make appearances. Main dishes on the dinner menu range from ribs, smoked half chicken, and prime flat iron steak.

Desserts are another area where Proof shines, although the build-your-own-sundae is among the most requested. If you prefer to drink your calories, a well-curated cocktail and drink menu ensures you’ll be satisfied. From the Mamacita Margarita and Lavender Martini to draft beers and tasty non-alcoholic beverages, quenching your thirst won’t be an issue.

Proof Cantina is open seven days a week starting at 7 a.m. for breakfast. Lunch service begins at 11 a.m., and dinner service starts at 5 p.m.
