The city of Peoria, in partnership with the Friends of the Peoria Public Library, is delighted to invite families to the annual Bravo Peoria event. This year’s celebration is themed Groovin’ in the Garden and will mark the grand opening of the new Music Garden on the Children’s Patio. The festivities are scheduled for Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sunrise Mountain Library, 21109 N. 98th Ave.

The Bravo Peoria event is known for offering an array of engaging and free family activities. It’s an opportunity for residents to discover the vast services and collections available through the Peoria Public Libraries. This year, the event takes a melodious twist with the introduction of the Music Garden, an interactive outdoor space designed to enrich the sensory learning experience for children.

The day is packed with a variety of performances and activities that cater to all ages. The Dino Crew will be making a special appearance, alongside a mystical unicorn, and a medley of entertainers set to captivate the crowd. Meanwhile, a climbing wall and inflatables will provide an adrenaline rush.

Book lovers will revel in the gigantic Friends of the Peoria Public Library book sale, a perfect opportunity to find your next great read while supporting the library. To add to the festive atmosphere, local food trucks will be on hand.

Stop by a little early at 9:50 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the Music Garden.
