“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there,” according to the popular quote by Will Rogers. The Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD) is revitalizing our strategic plan. This includes capturing the voice of our stakeholders as we identify our Beliefs, Vision, Mission, and Priorities that help drive our organization to success for our students and families. In this way, we can avoid standing still and being “run over” to better position ourselves to prepare students for happy and successful lives continuing to move into our 21st century world.

Our Beliefs will identify a common collection of convictions; ethical priorities that set apart and distinguish the district and the community. They are at the heart of our culture because they are guiding principles that drive us to success.

Our Vision will be a brief statement, widely held and easily understood that encompasses the purpose and direction of the school district. It captures the future we seek to create for students.

The Mission will be a statement that includes our purpose, function, and clientele. It explains our fundamental purpose as an organization and why we exist.
Our Priorities will be descriptions of broad, system wide initiatives that are tied to the product of our analysis and are broken down into actionable strategies.

We value our community and understand that you are a vital piece of the puzzle. As a school district, we partner with families, businesses, hospitals, churches, nonprofits, athletic organizations, civic leaders, and other organizations in helping to make our community a great place to live and raise children. For this reason, we ask for your ideas and contributions on what should be included in the development of the strategic plan.
