There is hope for back pain relief right here in North Scottsdale. Dr. Kourtney Zamora, a Doctor of Acupuncture, has spent over a decade helping people alleviate their pain. With her extensive expertise in treating nerve pain and chronic back issues, she takes on even the most complex and severe cases, including those that disrupt sleep. Many of Dr. Zamora’s patients share how her treatments have transformed their daily lives.
One patient expressed, “My pain and neuropathy became unbearable, but now I can sleep through the night without relying on pills. Thank you so much for your help and care.”
Dr. Zamora’s journey in healthcare began early; at just 16, she worked as a nursing assistant in a nursing home, discovering her natural inclination for caregiving. She feels fortunate to have found her calling so early in life. She is board certified in acupuncture through the NCCAOM. She has been clean needle technique certified since 2015 and employs traditional Chinese acupuncture techniques in her practice.
Q&A with Dr. Kourtney Zamora, D.Ac.
Question: What unique services do you offer?
Answer: I specialize in helping those who have been in pain for an extended period. Many of my patients come to me suffering from back pain, peripheral neuropathy, sciatic pain, and more. I provide evidence-based traditional Chinese acupuncture combined with FDA-approved modern technology to help reduce pain. My extensive healthcare background allows me to offer exceptional care. Often, the individuals I see have already explored various options — surgery, medications, physical therapy, and injections — without success. Some feel like they are at the end of their ropes with their pain, which can lead to depression from being unable to enjoy life. I want them to know that there is hope for a pain-free future.
Question: What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Answer: The most fulfilling aspect of my job is witnessing my patients’ progress as they go through their treatments. The initial phase can be slow, and patients often feel impatient for results after suffering for so long. However, once they reach the second phase, the benefits of acupuncture become evident. They begin to feel hopeful again, and I notice improvements in their mood. Patients often tell me things like, “I was finally able to take my dog for a walk without my sciatic pain flaring up the whole day,” or, “I played 18 holes of golf for the first time in years!”
I genuinely care about those who are experiencing pain, and it brings me joy to hear my patients express their heartfelt gratitude when they begin to feel better. As a former migraine sufferer, I understand how much pain can limit your life. I warmly invite you to schedule an evaluation so we can discuss your symptoms and explore how acupuncture can support your journey to improved health. Remember, it’s never too late to take the first step toward feeling your best!
