It’s a bird. It’s a plane. No, it’s the much-buzzed-about second location of Sam Fox’s Fly Bye, which officially opened at Desert Ridge Marketplace on July 14.

What started as a pop-up ghost kitchen, when the original opened in Phoenix in 2020, is now coming into its own as the North Phoenix menu gets a major glow-up worthy of Instagram fame. Now, don’t get it twisted, Fly Bye knows where it came from––the cheesy pan pizza with caramelized crust; golden buttermilk-dipped, hand-breaded chicken tenders; juicy chicken wings that will give you heart-eyes; eight house-made, lick-up-every-drop sauces including tasty ranch, the cheese fondue (it has its own cult-like following) and the spicy buffalo (it packs a punch that just hits different). Plus, don’t forget the salads.
Now how do you improve on that sort of deliciousness? Watch and learn. Fly Bye now has an even bigger menu with the introduction of hand-tossed pizzas, more chopped salad options, and hoagies so good they’ll make Philly proud. But they also know a thing or two about what people came for, so expect famous pizzas like the crispy chicken parmesan, black truffle mushroom, copper hat and pepperoni, which all still have their place on the menu. However, new additions are ready for the spotlight like Lebanese mom (marinated tomato, roasted garlic, spinach leaf, feta yogurt, za’atar); the Brooklyn (pepperoni, Italian sausage, nueske’s bacon, mozzarella, crushed tomato sauce); meatball (mozzarella, Italian oregano, crushed tomato sauce, parmesan cream) and flower child (portobello mushroom, charred onion, leafy greens, mozzarella). Plus, guests can build-their-own pizza with three crust options (hand-stretched, Detroit-style and gluten-free).

“There’s just nothing better than hot-from-the oven, cheesy Detroit-style pan pizza smothered in ranch, unless of course you’ve got a side of crunchy, handmade chicken tenders,” says Sam Fox. “We’re excited our doors are open and we’re ready for North Phoenix to come try their new go-to pizza and chicken spot.”
