HI, MY NAME IS… Ashley Isaacson
I’VE LIVED IN NORTH PHOENIX FOR FOUR YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… my kids get to experience this amazing community surrounded by cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. It has been a dream to raise my family in a true community. We are close to their school and so many family-friendly activities, and always surrounded by other kids. I moved to Arizona 18 years ago from Chicago to attend ASU (Go Devils!) and I’m fortunate that my brother, sister, and parents followed me out to Phoenix. My parents, siblings, and I work together every day now! We started in the wholesale diamond and fine jewelry business right out of college and six years ago we decided to open our showroom to the public, Elite Fine Jewelers. We are considered Arizona’s finest hidden gem.
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… Mom life! My primary role is taking care of my children. When they’re in school or occupied with other activities, I am working at Elite Fine Jewelers as a jewelry design specialist. I meet new clients and learn about their fine jewelry needs, which is every girl’s dream come true! I get to play with engagement rings, luxury watches, diamond earrings, tennis bracelets, and more. Not only do I help design jewelry and sort diamonds, but I am creating memories for individuals and couples and get to be a part of so many love stories. Evenings are a special time at home when I get to relax and unwind from the day with my husband and kids.
MY FAMILY IS… everything! My husband is a pharmacist. We have two boys and two dogs. I work with my extended family at the shop. It never gets old.
ONE THING I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IS…My family. My family is my life, but you probably could have guessed that!
MY FAVORITE MOVIE I COULD NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING AND WHY… This is tough. I love Wizard of Oz, as I watched it on replay during my childhood and love the message behind it that all you need is to believe in yourself, and you can do anything. I also love Iron Man; it just makes me smile and I love Tony Stark’s humor throughout it. With two boys at home, I’ve watched my fair share of Iron Man, and I’m still not tired of it.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO BE… a jeweler. As a child I loved going to work with my dad. I was intrigued by diamonds and gemstones. I loved watching him repair jewelry and appraise diamonds. I always knew I wanted to work with diamonds, precious, and semi-precious gemstones. Fun fact: My siblings and I are third-generation jewelers!
THE SONG I WOULD SING AT KARAOKE NIGHT IS… Yikes. If anyone ever wanted to clear a room, put me up to sing karaoke.
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my father, as he is living proof that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. He’s also one of the most kind-hearted and funniest people you will ever meet.
THE LAST THING THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD WAS… with as much time as I spend around my kids and other children, there are countless stories of innocent questions that keep me giggling on the daily. There’s no shortage of silly faces—too many to count!
THE PERFECT DAY… is quiet and slow with lots of laughter, and just taking time to have conversation over a cup of coffee and being together. Oh, and a great beer in hand while watching the sunset!
MY FAVORITE LOCAL NONPROFIT IS… Children’s Cancer Network. The organization assists children and families who have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer both during treatment and after. They’re a local nonprofit based out of Chandler, and we frequently volunteer at their family events and donate to auctions.
MY LIFE IS… better than I ever could have imagined. The last two years have really showed me what is important in life–nothing should be taken for granted. We only get one shot at this, right?
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… my children. They are the most amazing gift and so much more than anything I could have asked for.
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… this is going to sound cliché, but as a busy mom a dream vacation would be a mix of family time and alone time to recharge. We are always on the go, so any vacation sounds great. We love Rocky Point, Mexico.
