HI, MY NAME IS… Katie Forsberg
I’VE LIVED IN THE PEORIA/GLENDALE AREA FOR 22 YEARS AND I LOVE IT BECAUSE… I grew up in St. George, Utah, which is a similar climate. I love that I get to see sunshine most days of the year! I prefer 110 degrees and sunny over snow and cold any day!
A TYPICAL DAY IN MY LIFE INCLUDES… exercising, coaching gymnastics then heading to Twisted Sugar. In the middle of all that my husband and I never miss having lunch together!
MY FAMILY IS… two daughters who have both left for college in the last year and one son at Liberty High School.
WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, I WANTED TO… teach kids. I didn’t know what I wanted to teach them but 20 years ago I started coaching gymnastics and all my dreams came true. I have loved coaching gymnastics and now I get to see all my cute gymnasts at Twisted Sugar too, which blends both of my worlds perfectly!
THE ONE PERSON WHO MOTIVATES ME IS… my husband! We work really well together and I’m very blessed to be able to run a business with him!
MY LIFE IS… BLESSED! I believe that we have to look for the good things and if we are looking then they are everywhere, even on the bad days!
THE BEST GIFT I’VE EVER RECEIVED WAS… for Mother’s Day a few years ago. Both of my daughters were taking music lessons and the recital was going to be around Mother’s Day. They made a secret plan with their teacher to sing and play ukulele together a song called “Mother Like Mine” by The Band Perry. Needless to say, I did the ugly cry that day as they performed!
MY DREAM VACATION WOULD BE… my husband LOVES to travel so he has made this a priority in our finances. For spring break this year we were able to go to Panamá. I never thought this would be a dream vacation destination, but our brother and sister-in-law live there right now so we went to visit them. We got to hang out on private beaches in the San Blas islands, swim in waterfalls in the mountains of El Valle, and do it all with our three kids and their cousins, which was dreamy!
