In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, the Kiwanis Club of Carefree recently received a large “Thank You” poster from the Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD), recognizing the organization’s substantial financial contributions over the past year. The poster, a colorful testament to the positive impact of these grants, was presented in a ceremony last month.

The poster highlights several key initiatives funded by Kiwanis of Carefree, reflecting the club’s commitment to supporting educational endeavors in the community. Notable contributions include funding for a kindergarten field trip to the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM), a fourth-grade excursion to Western Heritage, a fifth-grade Junior Achievement trip to Biz Town, and ongoing support for the K-Kids program.

Chief Financial Officer of CCUSD Marcie Rodriguez and the district’s Financial Director Susan Rees presented the poster in a gesture of gratitude. Accepting the honor on behalf of Kiwanis were Joyce Jordan, Les Hardie, and Tom Pozarycki from the Communications Committee, along with Tom Leard and Kathy Haugner from the Schools and Education Committee.

The poster, which will be proudly displayed in the Kiwanis Marketplace, serves as a visible reminder of the vital role community organizations like Kiwanis of Carefree play in enhancing educational opportunities for local students. Through their financial support, the Kiwanis Club has directly contributed to enriching educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

Kiwanis of Carefree’s involvement with CCUSD underscores a shared commitment to fostering a nurturing and dynamic educational environment for students. The organization’s contributions not only fund educational trips but also support programs that cultivate leadership and community engagement among young learners.
The community of Carefree and the surrounding areas have expressed immense gratitude towards Kiwanis for their continuous support and dedication to the betterment of local education. This recognition from CCUSD highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting the growth and development of young minds in the community.
