In celebration of National Empanada Day, local woman-owned food brand Leila’s Empanadas will be hosting a tasting event where the public is invited to enjoy a celebration of food, family, and community.

Chef Leila and her team will be providing tastings of her secret family recipe empanadas and Brazilian cheese rolls, providing authentic flavors of Brazil right here in Arizona. The event will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m.-noon at Lil Miss Butcher, located at 4705 E. Carefree Highway, #101, in Cave Creek.

Leila’s Empanadas has also partnered with North Valley-based nonprofit Homeless Engagement Lift Partnership to benefit their H.E.L.P. Snackz Program. A portion of proceeds from every order at this tasting event or online will go to battle child hunger locally.

In addition to a pick up location at Lil Miss Butcher, Leila’s has recently added another pick up location in North Scottsdale inside of BUTI MVMNT Studio, located at 7432 E. Tierra Buena Lane, Unit 201. Available online for order and pick up are three flavors of empanadas available by the dozen, including savory beef, succulent chicken and olive, and delectable apple with crème brulée as well as their appetizing gluten-free Brazilian cheese rolls with a scrumptious cheese filling. All four handheld food products are made with quality, wholesome ingredients, packaged to freeze, and are quick to heat and serve, providing delicious, healthy, and convenient choices for people on the go, according to the company.

Leila’s Empanadas’ products are available through online order at leilasempanadas.com for local pick up or regional delivery via DoorDash and Grubhub.
