REI HAS BEEN A LONGTIME STAPLE AT CACTUS AND PARADISE VILLAGE PARKWAY NEAR PV MALL.

However, beyond simply offering equipment for the outdoorsman (and woman! We got you, ladies!), REI is a great resource for all kinds of outdoor activities, groups, classes and more!

From preparation for major explorations like the coveted Havasupai Falls journey to introductions to mountain biking for women and much more, those who are outdoorsy or looking to get out there and find some adventure have resources at every level. This March, when our “outdoor” weather is really coming into its own for our brief (yet glorious!) early spring, REI offers some great opportunities to get out and adventure.
Upcoming events include:
March 7: Women’s Beginner Camping Workshop
It’s always the season for campfires, s’mores, and spending time in nature! During this hands-on, first look at camping, you’ll practice setting up tents, get help selecting the best sleeping bag for you, and get practical experience to help you camp for the first time.

March 12: Preparing for the Grand Canyon: Rim to Rim
Hiking rim to rim is an empowering challenge that has inspired hikers for decades. REI instructors will share their knowledge on permits, planning a route, choosing proper gear and food, and how to train.

March 21: Wilderness Medicine Workshop: Managing Blisters & Cuts
Blisters and cuts are some of the most common injuries in the backcountry. Do you know how to properly treat them? This hands-on workshop will teach you how to treat common backcountry wounds.

There is something for anyone looking to learn or hone an outdoor skill. Visit Rei.com/stores/paradise-valley.html for a complete schedule and details.
