This month brings multiple ongoing events for locals to enjoy at Scottsdale Quarter. Read on for the details and don’t forget to mark your calendar to keep track of all the fun.

PERSIAN NEW YEAR ART INSTALLATION
In honor of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, Scottsdale Quarter has partnered with the Persian New Year Festival to display their “haftseen” art installations for public viewing in The Quad from March 7-31. The Persian New Year Festival is a nonprofit organization whose passion is to bring cultural awareness to the Scottsdale community.

Nowruz is a vibrant and internationally important holiday, celebrating the beginning of springtime. These haftseens are a staple to the Persian New Year and will be the largest display in Arizona’s history, coming in at 26-feet long. These decorative tables include seven items, all beginning with the Persian letter ‘s,’ that symbolizes the beginning of spring. Haftseen, or “Haft-sin,” derives from the Persian words, “haft,” which means seven, and “sin,” which is the fifteenth letter of the Persian alphabet.
