IKEA has announced plans to open a new store in Phoenix in early 2026, marking the Swedish furniture giant’s third location in the Valley.
The new store will be located at the southwest corner of Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road, directly across from the Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment. At 75,000 square feet, IKEA Phoenix will be a single-story store offering home furnishing accessories and about 75 small furniture items.
IKEA Phoenix will include over 3,000 articles for immediate take-away and as well as a Swedish deli, serving hot and cold food in-store or on the go.
Larger pieces such as sofas, beds and kitchen ranges won’t be available in-store, but customers can order them online for free pickup or home delivery for a fee, according to a company press release. Arizona Market Manager Kori Thorstenson said IKEA Phoenix will be a “smaller format store” compared to the 375,000-square-foot IKEA Tempe that opened in 2004.
The Phoenix store is part of IKEA’s broader strategy to expand access and convenience for customers across the state.
“Our ambition is to furnish all the homes in the state of Arizona,” Thorstenson said. “I have great feelings that there’s much more to come.”
IKEA made the announcement during the grand opening ceremony of the IKEA Scottsdale at The Promenade Wednesday, May 7.
