Spring has sprung and Park West shopping center is celebrating the season with new events and activities. The center is also thrilled to announce the opening of popular restaurant Wildflower at the end of the month. Check out all the happenings and new tenants coming soon to Park West.

On Saturday, April 9, Park West presents its Easter Egg-stravaganza, the center’s second annual spring celebration. From 10 a.m.-noon, guests can get a picture with the Easter Bunny as well as enjoy face painting and a special visit from the Spring Princess. During the event, Park West also hosts the Mystery Egg Giveaway — while supplies last, each guest will receive one egg filled with “mystery” prizes totaling more than $1,000.

“It is one of our missions as a center to provide added value to the neighborhood beyond the vast array of tenants that we have here at Park West,” says Kelly Price, business development manager for Park West. “Hosting events such as our Easter Egg-stravaganza allows us the opportunity to further integrate ourselves into the community and enjoy special occasions together.”

Then on Saturday, April 23, Park West presents the Park West Celebrates Earth Day event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event features a free community shred with Shred the Word and free reusable water bottles courtesy of the city of Peoria. Located in the parking lot adjacent to the Park West Market, the event is hosting a collection drive for Treasures 4 Teachers. Much-needed items include school supplies, arts and craft supplies, as well as toys, sports balls, containers, and plastic bags of all size.

“Earth Day is an important time to recognize how essential it is for all of us to do our part to conserve and preserve our planet and help others,” says Price. “We’re always looking to evolve our offerings and create local partnerships to present fun, meaningful events that benefit important local causes and organizations.”

Added to these events, the center continues to evolve with the addition of new tenants, such as the much-anticipated opening of Wildflower on Tuesday, April 26. Known around the state for its delicious scratch-made menu (including homemade breads and bakery items), Wildflower brings Park West diners its signature favorites, including salads, sandwiches, seasonal specialties, a wide array of breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, specialty coffee drinks and selections just for the little ones.

Other new tenants expected to open soon at Park West include Bully Brew Co., Global Golf Lounge, Kitchen Gourmet, Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs, Stretch Lab and Yama Sushi. Keep an eye out for other new tenant announcements in the coming months as Park West continues to grow.
