My company & title is… Owner/Operator of Jet’s Pizza.
A typical day in my life includes… a little gym time first thing to get my metabolism going. Trust me, being exposed to delicious pizza all day can be tough! I literally eat it almost every day. Then, it’s off to the shop. At Jet’s Pizza, we make our dough fresh in house every morning. Getting there nice and early ensures that we’ll be prepared for whatever the day should have in store for us. The rest of the day typically includes making product, working with customers, employees and vendors. No two days are the same in this industry. That’s why I enjoy it so much.
My favorite thing about living/working in the North 32nd area is… the people, the schools, the restaurants, and the landscape…what’s not to like?
My favorite movie I could never get tired of watching and why… Shawshank Redemption. It has been one of my favorites since the mid 90’s.
My family… is simply the best. I’m so incredibly fortunate. We’re all entrepreneurs with different passions. Although they still live back in the Midwest, they all aspire to be in AZ within the next couple years.
The business lesson I learned the hard way is… being able to let go and trust that my employees are fully capable. I’ve always been the hands-on type. I still am, but I’ve come to the realization that I can’t do it all. I’ve been lucky enough to find some great people to help me on this journey right here in the North 32nd area.
One thing I cannot live without… Pizza! Even when I’m off the clock or out of town, it’s always my go-to.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a professional golfer. It’s a good thing I went in a different direction, as anyone who has golfed with me can attest.
The song I would sing at Karaoke night is… anything by Jason Aldean. Karaoke nights are always fun, but kind of like my golf game. Anyone that’s gone with me knows I need to stick to my day job.
The one person who motivates me is… sorry… I have two. Without a doubt, my parents. They’re polar opposites and motivate me in completely different ways. My mom is the sweet, reserved, organized and hardworking one. My dad doesn’t know how to turn on a computer, but he’s aggressive, pretty much fearless and kills you with his natural charm.
The last thing that made me laugh out loud was… when my barber pulled out a Dave Chappelle quote out of nowhere.
The perfect day would be… being out on the Great Lakes with my family in the summer. It’s hard to beat the Midwest in July/August.
My first job was… working at a pet store. I would go in after school for a few hours every day.
My life… has been a bit of an adventure. I’ve lived in 5 states in the last 7 years. I’ve had some success and I’ve fallen flat on my face. I am grateful for where I am today.
I’m currently working on… establishing the Jet’s brand in the valley and providing the best possible pizza experience.
The best gift I’ve ever received was… my nephews. I have two siblings and they both have children. All boys.
The actor I would want to play me in a movie of my life is… Leonardo DiCaprio
My dream vacation would be to… Europe, for at least a month. Hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course, dining.
