North Peoria’s growth introduces unique specialty shops and restaurants to the community. One distinctive addition at 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road in the 83 Marketplace Center is The Stetson Social. The vision of Chef Mario Rana, famed for Italian dishes at Osteria Mia in Norterra Marketplace, this venture leans toward Mediterranean inspirations: shared plates, bruschetta, sandwiches, salads, and entrees.

An impressive collection of old and new world wines complements a curated cocktail selection and several draft beers. Traditional non-alcoholic beverages, such as soda, tea, coffee, lemonade, and waters, round out the choices.

Menu highlights include grilled octopus with fingerling potatoes, lamb sliders featuring sheep’s milk feta and basil aioli, and sticky ribs glazed with pomegranate molasses BBQ sauce, topped with a pistachio and sesame seed Dukkah. For a refreshing bite, the watermelon horiatiki boasts heirloom tomatoes, kalamata olives, and an oregano cintronette dressing.

Expanding their offerings, the chef has introduced main courses like Za’atar roasted chicken and swordfish. As they prioritize ingredient freshness, expect evolving menu updates. Meanwhile, special deals brighten the week:

Tuesdays: $2 off tap beers and exclusive tapas.

Wednesdays: 50% off wine bottles (regularly $65 and under).

Thursdays: Bartenders’ choice cocktail for $10.

Weekends: $18 for a bottle of sparkling wine with orange juice carafe and $6 Bloody Marys featuring Chef Mario’s signature mix.

The Stetson Social is a must-visit. From their diverse menu to the signature baklava cheesecake, there’s a treat for every palate.
