Scottsdale Pedals Ahead with Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly Community Award
Scottsdale has reinforced its reputation as a haven for bicyclists, securing the Gold-Level Bicycle Friendly Community status from the League of American Bicyclists for another four years. Standing out as one of the nation’s top bicycle-friendly cities, Scottsdale continues to shine among the 34 gold-level communities, placing it in the top echelon of the organization’s rankings.

Initially recognized as a silver-level community in 2005 and ascending to gold status since 2011, Scottsdale boasts an impressive array of bicycle facilities, including 123 miles of paved shared-use paths, 156 miles of unpaved trails, and 192 miles of on-street bike lanes. This continuous commitment to cycling excellence not only elevates the community’s health and wellbeing but also sets a national benchmark for sustainable urban transportation.
