Standing out as one of the nation’s top bicycle-friendly cities, Scottsdale continues to shine among the 34 gold-level communities, placing it in the top echelon of the organization’s rankings.

Initially recognized as a silver-level community in 2005 and ascending to gold status since 2011, Scottsdale boasts an impressive array of bicycle facilities, including 123 miles of paved shared-use paths, 156 miles of unpaved trails, and 192 miles of on-street bike lanes. This continuous commitment to cycling excellence not only elevates the community’s health and wellbeing but also sets a national benchmark for sustainable urban transportation.

Creativity Takes Center Stage at Scottsdale Family ArtsFest at SkySong
The Scottsdale Family ArtsFest at SkySong returns on March 22 and 23. The two-day extravaganza is set to showcase the extraordinary talents of students from the Scottsdale Unified School District.
This year’s ArtsFest, a collaborative effort by Arizona State University, the Scottsdale Unified School District, Scottsdale Arts, the city of Scottsdale, and the SkySong development team, will be held at SkySong, 1201-1475 N. Scottsdale Rd. Admission is free.

From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 22, and continuing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, highlights of the event include main stage performances, artistic showcases, an interactive arts zone, charitable artistry, and more. Visitors can enjoy the musical prowess of SUSD choirs, bands, and orchestras, bringing the community together with harmonious renditions and orchestral feats.

Kierland Commons is partnering with the American Red Cross for a vital blood drive event, aiming to significantly impact lives both locally and nationally. The community is encouraged to participate in this life-saving initiative scheduled for March 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., located next to Postino WineCafe.

This event is a call to action for all eligible donors to contribute to a cause that can save up to three lives with just one pint of blood. Free Sun & Sounds Concerts Hit the Stage at Scottsdale Civic Center
The Sun & Sounds Outdoor Concert Series is back every Sunday in March from noon to 4 p.m. at the Scottsdale Civic Center, 7380 E. Second St.
