Someburros, a locally-owned and family-operated group of fast-casual restaurants featuring authentic Sonoran-style Mexican recipes passed down from generation to generation in the Vasquez Family, is expanding with their first West Valley locations in Peoria and Goodyear. With 12 current locations in Arizona and growing, three Someburros locations are planned for the 2022 expansion: Goodyear, Peoria and North Phoenix.

One of Phoenix’s beloved foodie families, the Vasquez Family, is behind the family-owned restaurant group that owns Poncho’s, Someburros and Isabel’s Amor. The Vasquez Family opened the first Someburros in Tempe in 1986 on Mill Avenue and Baseline Road. Before Someburros, husband-and-wife duo, Eusevio “Poncho” Vasquez and Isabel Vasquez, opened their first restaurant, Poncho’s, in 1972, which featured matriarch Isabel’s signature, time-tested recipes for authentic Sonoran-style Mexican food.

Someburros was co-founded by Eusevio and Isabel’s son, George Vasquez, and his wife Mary Vasquez and the company’s current owner/leader is Tim Vasquez, a third-generation restaurateur and the son of George and Mary Vasquez.

Someburros Peoria will be the 14th Arizona location and it will open on the corner of Thunderbird Road and 83rd Avenue this fall.
