City Programs Encourage Water Conservation
“Peoria has several great rebate programs that encourage conservation and sustainable practices,” says Briana Cortinas, a Peoria spokeswoman. In Peoria, water conservation is a way of life. The city actively protects and preserves its diverse water supply through aquifer recharge, direct reuse of reclaimed water for landscaping and other non-drinking water demands, as well as planning and building reliable water infrastructure, according to the city. Peoria has robust education and outreach programs for adults and youth to help ensure that residents can successfully embrace the desert and use water wisely at home and in the landscape. In addition, the city offers several programs to help increase water conservation and efficiency in our community.
