The Singletons, a homegrown Arizona-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is bringing Vegas to north Phoenix. Tickets are on sale now for their upcoming Casino Royale fundraiser on Saturday, April 23. The event will include entertainment, culinary delights, and cocktails to raise funds that will support single parent families battling cancer. The evening will include casino games, raffles, prizes and other opportunities to win big for a cause. The event will take place at The Singletons’ newly opened H.U.B at 2832 E. Bell Road from 6-10 p.m.

There are many ticket packages available for this fundraiser. The Club Player ticket package includes $100 in playing chips and two drink tickets for $50. The 007 VIP Player ticket package includes $700 in playing chips, two drink tickets, and five raffle tickets for $100. Add-ons include $50 in chips for $20 and $250 in chips for $60. All of the money raised will go to support The Singletons.

The organization will also launch its “Gimme Five” reoccurring donation initiative next month to coincide with the nonprofit’s 16th anniversary. Donors can sign up at the event or online to begin making monthly donations in nominal increments, starting at just $5. Although contributions of all sizes are welcomed, the program provides a way to donate starting at the cost of a cup of coffee. All proceeds will help fund services offered by the nonprofit such as Singletons Kitchen, which provides nutritious family dinners; Singletons Bare Necessities, that provides the essential household items a family needs; Singletons Seeds of Strength that connects Singletons’ parents and provides a network of support; and Singletons Kids, which are experiences filled with fun activities and special occasion gifts for Singletons’ kids to help create the happy childhood memories they deserve.

The Singletons rely on the generosity and compassion of its donors to create safe spaces and a sense of community. A cancer diagnosis not only affects the parent but sends a jolt through the whole family foundation, leaving overwhelming questions and uncertainties. The Singletons look to provide strength, hope, resources and community to single parent families and their children navigating a cancer diagnosis. What began as tribute to the loss of Michelle Singleton, a single mother of four who succumbed to her own battle with cancer in 2005, has since grown to honor, contribute, and provide aid to those who have walked the same journey as Michelle and countless others like her.
