Once again, the community is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual Neighborhood Picnic for the Phoenix communities of Mountain Estates, Paradise Gardens, Mountain Preserve, and Heritage Heights. As the event planning kicks off, organizers are on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join forces and make a positive impact.
Sponsored by the city of Phoenix’s Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods (G.A.I.N.) program and the Neighborhood Block Watch, the Neighborhood Picnic is a day for Phoenix neighborhoods to join forces and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. G.A.I.N. showcases the importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement for safer communities.
The aforementioned neighborhoods, known for their dedication to safety and community spirit, proudly host this exciting event each year. With an as-yet-to-be-determined date, the Neighborhood Picnic promises a day of fun and togetherness for residents of all ages.
Held at Mercury Mine Basin Park, 3325 E Mountain View Rd., Phoenix, there are activities galore, food, guest speakers, raffle prizes, sack races, and the enthusiastic involvement of local businesses. This event offers an opportunity for neighbors to gather, connect, and revel in the unity and support that comes from championing safety within the community.
