2024 Annual Election for Parkside and ACC Board of Directors
Starting on January 2, the annual election cycle begins for open positions on the Anthem Parkside Community Association (APCA) Board of Directors and the Anthem Community Council (ACC) (representing the Parkside community). Applicable residents will receive information in the mail about the election, qualifications, process, and timetable.

There is one open seat on the ACC Board and three open seats on the APCA Board. The three open seats for the APCA will hold two-year terms, while the one open seat on the ACC will hold a three-year term. Below are important dates to keep in mind should you decide to declare your candidacy:
January 2 – Call for Candidates
January 22 – Deadline to File Candidacy
February 6 – Meet the Candidates Night
February 14 – Voting Begins
March 8 – Election Ends
March 11 – Verify Election
March 13 – Announce Election Winners
April – New Board Members Take Their Seats at April Board Meetings

Christmas Tree Recycling Days Announced
The Anthem community is gearing up for the post-holiday season with a responsible and eco-friendly initiative. The Anthem Christmas Tree Drop-Off Program has been officially announced, providing residents a convenient way to dispose of their Christmas trees.

The drop-off program is scheduled for two consecutive Saturdays, January 6, and January 13, ensuring ample opportunity for residents to participate. Both drop-off days will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a suitable window for everyone’s busy schedules. The drop-off location is set at the Anthem Community Park, located at 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy. Residents are advised to enter from Whitman Drive for easier access.

Foothills Food bank Hosts Shred-A-Thon
On Saturday, Jan. 27, the Foothills Food Bank in collaboration with Arizona Natural Concepts, invites the community to a Shred-A-Thon at 6061 E. Hidden Valley Dr., from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This free event, open to all without residency requirements, also supports various charitable causes.

Participants are encouraged to donate monetary gifts, non-perishable food items, and small electronics like phones. Gently used clothing and books will benefit the Goldmine Thrift Store and Desert Foothills Public Library. Key partners include North Valley Junk Removal, Town of Cave Creek, and Tech 4 Life.
