Katherine Donahoe has been in love with fashion all her life. As a child, she enjoyed watching her mom and Nana express themselves through the clothing they wore and the jewelry they treasured. That’s why the local entrepreneur and mom launched KC Vogue—an online, hand selected inventory of new and pre-loved elegant women’s apparel and jewelry.

The concept, launched in fall 2020, was so popular that she followed her online offerings up with a brick-and-mortar location in Scottsdale in late 2021. Through her quality inventory and genuine love of fashion, she hopes to help other women find confidence in expressing themselves in styles that are just right for them.

A Passion For Fashion
Famous French fashion designer Coco Chanel is known for saying, “Don’t be like the rest of them, darling.” This is a motto that Katherine lives by.

“I love how fashion can help you make a statement without speaking a word—you can literally wear your heart on your sleeve by how you choose to dress,” she says.

Katherine wants to help people feel beautiful inside and out by giving them a boost in self-confidence through designer apparel and fine jewelry. Fashion to her isn’t just about self-expression but feeling great about yourself while wearing your favorite clothing and jewelry. “There is something to be said about feeling better because you know that you look amazing,” she says. “Sort of walking a little taller because of what you are wearing.”

To help other women feel that boost of confidence, her shop, KC Vogue, is a must-see online and in-person destination for highly curated elegant women’s apparel and jewelry. What makes her collection unique is that it’s all hand-selected items that are both new and pre-loved—often offering pieces from in-demand designers that are rare and hard to find.

KC Vogue is named after Katherine and Charlotte, her 2-year-old daughter. Vogue refers to all things fashion. “From jewelry to apparel, ‘vogue’ is a universal concept manifested into many fashionable ideas, from past to present trends,” Katherine explains.

“Launching KC Vogue during the height of the pandemic took a leap of faith,” she adds. “But I love the industry and wanted to provide a unique collection of oftentimes retired or rare fashion pieces that are hard to find. I found many of them and want to share them with my amazing customers.”
Your Go-To Source for Elegant Women’s Apparel and Jewelry
At KC Vogue, the focus is on high-end designer brands and fine jewelry.

Here, you will find timeless jewelry pieces from David Yurman, John Hardy, and Tiffany & Co. Many of the pieces are rare or retired. “A lot of the jewelry we offer is hard to find and one of a kind,” Katherine says. “And all pieces go through a rigorous authentication process, so clients know that they are purchasing quality, authentic fine jewelry. Clients are always so thrilled when we have pieces that they’ve been looking for and haven’t been able to find anywhere else.”

When it comes to clothing, hand selected items from in-demand designers like Free People and Gypsy 05 are the name of the game. “We offer a small but highly curated selection of items so it’s not overwhelming,” Katherine explains. “All of the fashion choices are from high-end designer brands—pieces I love and would wear myself.”
Not only are the items to select from first-rate, but so is the customer service. Katherine shares that she is always happy to guide clients with her industry knowledge and consult on styling. Clients also benefit from her well-maintained industry relationships, which often allow her to offer items that won’t be found elsewhere.

Because of the quality service meets must-see items, KC Vogue’s customer ratings are through the roof. “Amazing condition and absolutely beautiful,” says one happy customer. “This is my favorite ring besides my wedding ring,” raved another. “Extremely happy with my purchase,” says a recent client. “She knows how to package merchandise, the shipping was fast, and I’m very impressed by how she treats her customers—including the lovely note she attached.”

So how can interested locals see this wonderful collection? There are a few ways:
• Inventory is listed on Katherine’s continuously updated website, kcvogue.com.
• Interested fashionistas can also visit KC Vogue in-person at their shop at 7944 E. Beck Lane, Suite 140, in Scottsdale. The shop opens regularly for the public and for private parties. (To make sure it’s open when you’d like to go, e-mail [email protected].)
• Katherine also lists some of her inventory on the Poshmark app. Her collection can be found on the app @kcvoguellc.
• She also helps to manage a private group on Facebook called David Yurman’s Closet, which is a go-to space for quality, pre-loved authentic David Yurman jewelry.

For those who would like to purchase items but are concerned about finances, KC Vogue offers layaway contracts and payment plan options.
Supporting Local and Hopes For The Future
Katherine loves to share that she’s a fourth generation Arizonan. When it was time to open a brick-and-mortar location, she knew that locally was the only option for her. “I’ve lived in Scottsdale and Phoenix all of my life and love the area,” she says. “We have Kierland Commons, Scottsdale Quarter, all the wonderful spots in Phoenix, and so many things to do for families, too. I wouldn’t want to live or do business anywhere else.”

Looking toward the future, Katherine hopes to continue to grow KC Vogue, hire new fashion-loving employees, and open satellite locations when the time is right. She also hopes to be able to give back to local charities—in particular, Arizona-based Wings of Humanity, which provides life-saving flights for children in-need of medical attention.

“The sky is the limit for KC Vogue, and I feel so blessed to be able to provide this opportunity for clients to discover stunning statement pieces perfect for every woman,” she says.
