Through December 15, The Armer Foundation – a Valley nonprofit that helps families with children who have extreme medical needs – is hosting their 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the Banner Cardon Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Oncology Unit. Nineteen local businesses throughout the Valley are taking part as drop-off locations for the unopened toys that will provide holiday spirit, smiles and hope to children battling for their lives.

In Peoria, toys can be dropped off at:
• Lakeside Bar & Grill, 9980 W. Happy Valley Road
• Select Security Systems, 8957 W. Windsor Drive, Suite 129

“Having been in these families shoes ourselves, we know what a difference even just one toy can make in a child’s life when they spend day in and day out in the same hospital room,” says Jennifer Armer, founder of the Armer Foundation. “While we are often helping with families’ medical expenses, we always like to do something extra for the holidays and are overjoyed by the number of local businesses who are helping us give back to these children and their families.”

To donate, the Armer Foundation is asking that local residents drop off any new, unwrapped toys for kids between the ages of newborn to teens. For a full list of locations participating in the Holiday Toy Drive and list of needs, visit armerfoundation.org/toydrive.
