Benevilla will provide complimentary freshly prepared meals to go again this year for Christmas at Birt’s Bistro for those in our community who lack access, do not have the means to make their own nutritious holiday dinner, or might otherwise be alone.

Benevilla understands this time of year can be stressful for those living alone or struggling to care for a loved one. “We hope we make the holiday season a little brighter by offering these complimentary meals to those who may not necessarily have family nearby to enjoy the holiday with and to those who need it most,” says Joanne Thomson, Benevilla President and CEO.

For years, Benevilla has provided these free holiday meals to area neighbors and residents, believing no one should be alone on the holidays. A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie will be pre-packaged by Benevilla volunteers and employees and ready for pickup at Birt’s Bistro in the Hellen and John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza on the main Benevilla campus at 16752 N. Greasewood Street in Surprise.

Benevilla will have the meals ready for pickup on Thursday, December 23 for Christmas Day. RSVPs for Christmas Day meals are needed by December 7. Space is limited, so RSVP by calling 623-584-4999. All meals are made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor.

Started by the community and for the community in 1981, Benevilla is a not-for-profit human services agency dedicated to enhancing the lives of West Valley residents by providing care services for older adults, intellectually disabled adults, children, and families.
