The City of Peoria’s Parks and Recreation Department just re-opened local splash pads for the summer season after being closed due to the pandemic and cooler weather.

Peoria splash pads are
located at:
Rio Vista Community Park

8866 W Thunderbird Road

Pioneer Community Park
8755 N. 83rd Avenue

Paloma Community Park
29799 N. Lake Pleasant Pkwy.

Camino A Lago Park
21111 N 98th Avenue
Typically, splash pads are open seasonally from now through October 15 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“All citizens are encouraged to be active and play safely while following current guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” according to the city.

City officials recommend that caregivers who take their children to splash pads remember summer safety basics, such as:
• Always watch children around water.
• Use sunscreen and apply as often as needed.
• Bring plenty of cool drinking water.
