“The girls have been working very hard for a very long time; some of them have been playing since they were 4-years-old,” shares Liberty High School’s Golf Coach Kyle Pooler. “At the end of last season, there was talk about us being able to crack the top three this year. I tried to change that mindset into, ‘Let’s not settle for just the top three, we need to get the mindset that we are going to win the State Championship!’”

“All year, we focused on the little things that we needed to do to put ourselves in position to win the state title,” Pooler continues. “I told the girls early on that it is a process, and we need to trust the process. If we trust the process, the outcome will be there. In the end, we got the result we were looking for.”

Liberty Girls Golf beat Xavier by three strokes. “I could not be more proud of these girls for trusting the process and doing what they needed to do to become champions,” says Pooler.
