Nestled in the vibrant North 32 neighborhood of Phoenix, Lovecraft Ale House is a hidden gem for foodies seeking authentic New Mexican cuisine with an unforgettable atmosphere. This cozy eatery beckons diners to indulge in their mouth-watering dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and warm ambiance, making it an ideal destination for those who crave both quality and authenticity.

The moment you step into Lovecraft, you are greeted with enticing aromas that signal the culinary adventure that awaits you. One way to embark on this flavorful journey is by starting your meal with one of their scrumptious appetizers. The green chile queso dip and chips; smoked bacon wrapped jalapenos; green chile mac-n-cheese; and nachos are just a few of the appetizing options available. You can even elevate your appetizer by adding your choice of protein such as carne adovada, green chile chicken, or smoked chicken. Vegetarians need not worry, as there are options like mushrooms and green chile jackfruit.

As you peruse the main course offerings, you’ll be delighted to find a variety of house made specialties. Savor the carne adovada simmered in a rich red chile sauce, or indulge in the green chile burrito, filled with smoked brisket and pork, simmered in hatch green chile. The chimichangas, stuffed with hatch green chile chicken, also make for a delectable choice. For those visiting on Fridays or Saturdays, Lovecraft features exclusive specials like green chile lobster bisque; meatloaf topped with smoked mushrooms; smoked prime rib; and prime rib sandwiches. But be warned – these specials are available in limited quantities, so arrive early to avoid disappointment! Sundays are dedicated to the delectable fried chicken, a must-try for any visitor.

Customization is key at Lovecraft, as guests can create their own street taco plates, sliders, or BBQ plates from a tantalizing selection of meats. The menu is designed to cater to everyone, including a kids’ menu featuring mac-n-cheese, cheese quesadillas, chicken tacos, and mini-cheeseburgers.

Owner Rebecca Golden takes great pride in crafting not only the exquisite dishes but also the specialty cocktails and drinks that complement the culinary experience. Some notable concoctions include the spicy passion fruit margarita, prickly pear margarita, and a vodka or gin martini with an option of adding hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. The bourbon barrel-aged old fashioned is another crowd-pleaser. Additionally, guests can choose from a carefully curated selection of craft beers, mead, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
