Scottsdale may have Barrett-Jackson and Russo and Steele car auctions, but Peoria is proudly hosting the MAG Auctions Collector Car Auction on Friday. January 10 through Sunday, January 12. The event takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. all three days at the Peoria Sports Complex located at 16101 N. 83rd Avenue and everyone from car collectors and enthusiasts to the general public (including the little ones!) are welcome to come and peruse the stunning selection and wide variety of collector cars.

A collector car auction group with a focus on muscle cars, street rods, classic cars, vintage cars, and leading automobile products, Motorsport Auction Group’s events are geared towards both longtime car enthusiasts and newcomers to the car collector hobby that are looking to buy and sell cars and memorabilia. Bidders, consignors, vendors and sponsors are invited to join MAG’s car auctions across the country, including the upcoming Peoria event.

While buying can be done online or over the phone, Mag Auctions says that attending an auction in person is definitely the best and most exciting way to purchase a collectable automobile. Bidders must have a valid driver’s license or passport, purchase a Bidder’s Badge and complete a Bidder’s contract. Attending the event ensures bidders plenty of time to peruse potential purchases and to thoroughly review the vehicle’s condition inside and out for themselves. In many cases, the owner is online and available to talk with bidders to discuss the history and condition of the vehicle as well as answer any other questions. Bidders may take home their purchases on the same auction day.

Aside from the auction itself, a multitude of exhibitors will be onsite featuring products and services designed for the audience of car collector buyers and sellers, auto enthusiasts as well as the general public. MAG Auctions also makes consigning easy and convenient, and can be done in a number of ways.

Vehicle photos and details along with their lot numbers are currently available on the website at www.motorsportauctiongroup.com/auction/. Auction items include a variety of collector vehicles from across the eras including a 1934 Pierce Arrow 840 Club Salon Sedan; a bright orange 1927 Convertible Ford Roaster with 2300cc Ford 4-cylinder with black interior and less than 4,000 miles on it; a white 1967 El Camino pick up with a V8 engine; a gold 1953 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup 5 Window with a 350 cid engine and many more.

Doors open each day of the event at 8:00 a.m. for bidders and consignors, and 9:00 a.m. for the general public. The Memorabilia Auction takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each day with the vehicle auction following. Tickets can be purchased at the day for $15 per day ($10 for seniors and military) or $45 for a three-day admission ticket which includes a VIP Guest Pass allowing seating in bidder seats. Children 12 and younger are free. For more, information visit www.motorsportauctiongroup.com/auction/.
