It’s the New Year and one resolution we can definitely keep is trying out new local restaurants. Luckily, the North Valley’s restaurant scene is booming with many new eateries having just opened or are scheduled to open soon. We’ve rounded up several restaurants that are new to the North Valley — try out a new potential favorite today!

Barrio Cosita
Opened: Fall 2021
Address: 15801 Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., #100, Scottsdale
Type of Food: Barrio Cosita brings the traditional flavors of Mexico in a trendy, urban vibe, and offers everything patrons have come to love about Barrio Queen but in a fast-casual setting, with additional unique menu items, a full bar, and a lower price point.

Buddha’s Ritual
Opened: December 2021
Address: 16580 N. 92nd St., Scottsdale
Type of Food: Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This new locale serves a number of signature items like croffles (croissant waffles) and Buddha’s Benny with crispy pork belly in the morning and pho, ramen, a deconstructed Banh Mi plate, kimchi mac and cheese, kimchi grilled cheese, and stone brick oven pizzas with Asian-inspired toppings in the evenings.

Type of Food: Centered around the wood-fired hearth, Chef Danny Grant peppers each menu with his favorite seasonal dishes that are expertly crafted alongside his culinary team. Uncle Bear’s Brewery, Grill & Tap

Type of Food: Uncle Bear’s serves up time-honored recipes that include burgers, Tex-Mex, sliders, wings, and more. In addition, Uncle Bear’s serves original doghouse drinks and features 16 locally brewed craft beers on tap as well as rotating seasonal favorite brews.
