The Buxton Library, located on the main Paradise Valley Community College campus, 18401 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, is set to reopen its doors on August 6.

Recognizing its significance for students and the community, the school administration’s decision to conduct necessary upgrades was aimed at maintaining the facility in excellent condition. During the temporary closure, students and the community had access to one-on-one virtual appointments with librarians through the Cranium Cafe platform. The ASK a Librarian 24/7 chat service also remained available to aid as needed.

This summer, the college got a series of other renovations including technology upgrades and lockdown buttons for classrooms. Additionally, parking lot resurfacing and service and aesthetic improvements were made. These upgrades are crucial to accommodate the constantly evolving environment, especially as post-pandemic enrollment increases, according to PVCC representatives.
