We’ve finally made it to November. After yet another blazing hot summer that somehow managed to last well into October, we’ve finally turned the corner and hit that peak Arizona weather. What better way to celebrate our return to the great outdoors than with a fun, community event like the 3rd Annual Fireside Cornhole Tournament? This is a low-pressure, high-fun event.

Cornhole requires very little equipment and almost zero training. Here’s how it works: you toss a bean bag 27 feet across a grass field, toward a wooden box. The object is to make your bean bag land in a hole on top of the box. It’s a cross between a carnival game and a game of horseshoes.

Who Is Eligible to Play?
This tourney is open to two-player teams. If you’re a free agent, enter yourself and we’ll pair you with another free agent to form a powerful, new mega-team! You do not have to live in Fireside to enter or attend this event.

Can Beginners and Children Play?
All skill levels are welcome to enter. While there are no rules against children entering the tournament, they might find themselves at a significant disadvantage against the grownups. We will, however, have several open cornhole boards at the event for anyone who wants to play for fun (and for free) without entering.

Is There A Charity Tie-In?
We love doing charity events, and work with several charities throughout the year. This tournament, however, does not have a charity tie-in. The entry fees go toward costs, including site rental, equipment purchase, and prizes.

Are There Concessions Available?
This event is BYOE (bring your own everything). Whether it’s Cokes, Claws, cookies, or candy, pack a Yeti and import your very own custom-crafted picnic. No glass containers, please.

Any Other Tips?
Beach blankets, folding chairs, and temporary shade structures are all great ideas. The weather is cooler, but there will be lots of direct sunshine. Hats, sunscreen, and a lot of water are recommended. Restrooms are available.
