Someburros, known for authentic Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine, is set to expand its presence with a new location in North Phoenix. The family-owned and operated restaurant will open its doors in the Norterra neighborhood this month, located at the northwest corner of Jomax Road and Norterra Parkway (2525 W. Jomax Rd.). This opening marks the 15th location for Someburros, further establishing its footprint in the state.

The grand opening on January 27 promises to be a vibrant celebration starting at 9 a.m., complete with live mariachi music, enter-to-win raffle contests, and an appearance by “Nacho,” the restaurant’s beloved burro mascot. Someburros Norterra invites the community to join in the festivities and experience the rich flavors and festive atmosphere that have made Someburros a household name for over 37 years.

Led by President Tim Vasquez, son of the founders, Someburros remains committed to its roots in delivering fast-casual, family-friendly dining experiences. The new Norterra location will continue the tradition of serving up fresh, authentic dishes that reflect the family’s cherished Sonoran recipes.

Unique to this location, the Someburros drive-thru will open at 7 a.m. for early risers seeking a hearty Mexican breakfast. Regular dining hours will commence at 9 a.m., catering to breakfast, lunch, and dinner patrons. Menu highlights include the pollo fundido, an all-time favorite, alongside a variety of burros, tacos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. Not to be missed are the frozen margaritas, available for both dine-in and to-go orders.

Designed with a modern desert-living décor and Spanish-revival architecture, the Norterra location offers a welcoming ambiance suitable for family meals, date nights, and quick-service lunches. With a spacious dining room, outdoor patio, and convenient drive-thru, the restaurant is poised to become a staple in the community.
