Tacos & Craft has opened its doors at 4715 S. Rural Rd., introducing a fresh take on high-quality, craft-made tacos and a selection of fine brews to the Tempe area. The quick-casual eatery kicked off its operations with a grand opening on March 2, hosting a family-friendly celebration that supported Junior Achievement, with 20% of the day’s earnings donated to the organization.

“For us, people come first. We are so excited to be a part of the Tempe community and share our ‘do more with less’ mission that is highly food-focused, with a deep commitment to outstanding hospitality,” says Aldo Jaramillo, managing partner of Tacos & Craft. “Our goal is to provide our guests with excellent food and incredible local craft beers presented with the highest level of customer service.”

Tacos & Craft takes pride in its curated Mexican culinary adventure. The “Tacos de la Casa” menu boasts creations like the chipotle salmon, featuring hard-seared salmon with a fresh apple-cucumber pico, topped with cilantro-lime crema, and the roasted cauliflower with charred Romanesco salsa, accented by pickled onions. The camarones fritos shines with crispy Argentinian red shrimp, pineapple salsa, and jalapeño slaw.

The menu also offers traditional street-style tacos, including quesa birria with succulent slow-roasted goat and Oaxaca cheese, served with a chili consommé; al pastor featuring achiote-marinated pork paired with charred pineapple salsa; and the caramelo mixto, a delicious mix of Oaxaca cheese, carne asada, and chorizo, garnished with onions and cilantro.

Begin the meal with “aperitivos” like the queso fundido, a blend of melted Mexican cheeses and spicy chorizo with green chiles, or el mar mixto, a ceviche medley of shrimp and fresh fish complemented by pineapple-mango salsa and spicy cucumber, topped with avocado mousse, pickled onions, and fresno chiles. For something crispy, the flautas de res offers slow-cooked beef in a crunchy corn tortilla with avocado salsa.

In partnership with local micro-breweries and renowned national beer makers, Tacos & Craft presents a diverse beer selection. Highlights include Pueblo Vida Noctilucent Hazy IPA, Superstition Meadery Blueberry Spaceship Cider, Wiseacre Brewing Company’s Roasty & Toasty Coffee Stout, and Pizza Port Brewing Co.’s Chronic Amber Ale, among others.

Tacos & Craft is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
