A Local Business Helping Their Neighbors
North Valley resident Jessica Morrison became the owner of Wishwell Insurance Brokers earlier this year, but the company has been serving clients across the North Valley and beyond since 2020. “Wishwell Insurance Brokers opened at the height of the pandemic because we wanted to help more people—local people—our neighbors,” Morrison explains. “We’re a local family that opened a business right where we live. It’s about the community to us, not just insurance.”

Morrison says that what sets Wishwell apart is that they are not focused on sales, but instead place an emphasis on education. “We want clients to understand what type of coverage they need, why they need it, and not to overpay for it,” she explains. “As brokers, we work with dozens of insurance carriers to find policies that match what our clients need. This service is free to clients.”

An experienced insurance agency owner and broker, she says she took the lead at Wishwell because she saw a need in the community to provide quality insurance options and education.

“As a woman and a minority, it’s been very challenging to be a small business owner, but the need was there and it is worth the struggle,” Morrison says. “I’ve been fortunate to have amazing staff members who are experts in insurance, honest and ethical. We never pressure clients to purchase anything, and we treat every client as if they’re family.”

Creating Community Connections
As a small business owner, Morrison is not only passionate about her own areas of expertise, but about lifting up other small business owners and entrepreneurs. She is heavily involved in multiple North Valley networking groups and is responsible for thousands of dollars in referrals to other local businesses. (Just in her local BNI chapter she is estimated to be solely responsible for over $34,000 in referrals in one month alone.)

“Networking groups help bring small businesses together to grow and learn from one another,” she explains. “Diversity is here, and I encourage small business owners to go for it. There’s a lot of growth in this area of the Valley, and there are a lot of opportunities for women and minority business owners to shine. I care about small businesses in the area because when small business owners succeed, we all win.”

In addition to helping the local small business community, Morrison is also passionate about giving back to area nonprofits. She shares that when a new client comes to her and needs supportive services, her team always refers them to local resources that can help. In addition, she and her team support many area nonprofits and charitable organizations. “Because of the type of business we do and the fact that family is so important to us, we often focus on supporting nonprofits that help children and teens,” she says.

One nonprofit that Morrison is passionate about is BLOOM365 (bloom.org), a North Valley charitable organization that works to educate youth on relationship violence and provides resources for those who have experienced it. She adds that she is also a board member of the Peoria Diamond Club, which is “dedicated to supporting community programs that educate and enrich children’s lives, while enhancing their futures.”

A mom to an honor roll student and wife to her husband Timothy Limes, Morrison emphasizes that she works hard to make the community a better place because she calls the North Valley home as well. Her clients aren’t just customers—they’re her neighbors and fellow community members.

Your Local Go-To Insurance Experts
Because of their involvement in the local community, Morrison and her team at Wishwell Insurance Brokers care about their clients and use their vast expertise to make sure they have the right insurance for the right price.

“Our doors are always open,” says Andrew Manuel, general manager and insurance expert at Wishwell. “We are always happy to review new clients’ insurance coverage and look for any gaps, educate them on options, and make sure they aren’t overpaying. This service is always free to the clients.”

Morrison says that Wishwell stands out because they are a hometown agency with high level expertise and quality national insurance connections. Clients can get the benefit of a small, hands-on quality customer service interaction while also knowing they are choosing the best insurance option available. “While we’re local, we’re contracted with almost everyone, and we meet clients in a setting that works best for them – on Zoom, over the phone, or locally in person,” she says. “There are no sales quotas to hit, and customers aren’t just a number.”

“We’re a small team of insurance experts who can’t wait to help more local clients,” Morrison adds. “Let’s work together to find the right insurance that fit your needs.”

Wishwell Insurance Brokers is located in Northwest Peoria at 28421 Vistancia Boulevard, Suite 101, but can serve clients throughout the state. This month, anyone who stops into Wishwell Insurance for a free insurance review will be entered in a raffle drawing to win two tickets to Arizona Broadway Theatre’s “The SpongeBob Musical” in June.
