The Ridgeline Academy Drama Club (RAD Club) is set to enchant audiences with a heartwarming rendition of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella: Youth Edition.”
Known for its dynamic and engaging productions, RAD Club continues to offer young performers a platform to shine, this time bringing to life a beloved fairy tale with a twist of originality, charm, and elegance.
Performances are scheduled to take place at Ridgeline Academy, 33625 N. North Valley Pkwy., showcasing the talents of students across grades second through 12th in two casts—the Magic Cast and the Midnight Cast.
The show dates are as follows:
• Magic Cast: Thursday, May 9, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, at 12 p.m.
• Midnight Cast: Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 11, at 3:30 p.m.
Audience members will be whisked away to a miraculous kingdom where dreams come true, following the tradition of its previous television and stage adaptations that captured hearts around the globe.
RAD Summer Camp 2024: A Journey into Imagination
Furthering its mission to cultivate young talent, RAD Club announces its 2024 Summer Camp, running from June 17 to June 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This immersive experience, priced at $250 per camper with available scholarships for those in need, culminates in a grand performance of “Seussical Jr.”, a fantastical musical extravaganza that celebrates the beloved stories of Dr. Seuss.
Campers will embark on a two-week journey under the guidance of seasoned professionals, diving deep into the realms of acting, singing, and dancing. With auditions on the first day, the camp sets the stage for a transformative experience that not only prepares participants for the spotlight but also fosters growth in teamwork, creativity, and confidence.
The camp’s finale, “Seussical Jr.”, promises a showcase of “Horton the Elephant,” “The Cat in the Hat,” and a cast of Dr. Seuss characters, bringing to life the themes of friendship, loyalty, and community. It’s an opportunity for campers to demonstrate their hard work and for audiences to experience the magic of live theater.
